Ready Player One
This Sci-Fy movie has the indisputable stamp of Steven Spielberg. The director of ET and Jurassic Park was based on the eponymous novel by Ernest Cline. A tribute to the pop culture of the 80s with hundreds of references to songs, video games and feature films of the time.
Rampage
Dwayne Johnson repeats his formula for success again with this perfect movie for fans of the 80’s video game. Davis Okoye has a close relationship with a gorilla of extraordinary intelligence that he has raised. When an experiment goes wrong, the ape turns into an enraged creature. Action, special effects and a touch of humor.
The Iron Giant
It is more than two decades old, but its history is still more present than ever. This animated film is set in the Cold War years and shows the relationship between a child and a giant robot fallen from space. Although it was a box office failure, The Iron Giant is considered one of the best films of the 90s.
Paddington
British writer Michael Bond is the author of this character, an endearing honey-colored bear who arrives from Peru to the United Kingdom through misfortunes and new beginnings. The movie was a complete success on the big screen. Don’t missNicole Kidman playing an evil taxidermist. Worth watching it!
The Hobbit Trilogy
The Hobbit film trilogy is a three-part adaptation of Tolkien’s play: An Unexpected Journey, The Desolation of Smaug, and The Battle of the Five Armies. It is the prequel to The Lord of the Rings and tells the full story of Bilbo Baggins before Frodo began his epic journey.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
French action, adventure and science fiction film with Cara Delevingne in the cast. Again a film adaptation, but this time from a prestigious European comic. A team of space agents travels to the city of Alpha, a metropolis where species from all corners coexist and share their intelligence and culture. Of course, Alpha hides a mystery that threatens the future of the universe. Best: listen to David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ on his soundtrack.
These are just some of the ideal movies to enjoy as a family, but not the only ones. In Amazon Prime you will find them all!
